Greeting Visitors and Residents
With its location in the heart of Downtown Boca and its historic Old Town Hall building, the Boca Raton Historical Society & Museum (BRHS&M) is a magnet for tourists visiting Boca Raton and the vicinity.
The BRHS&M serves nearly 25,000 visitors per year, with over 40% of them coming from outside Palm Beach County, making it an ideal location to educate these consumers on the wonderful attractions the area has to offer. In 2015, BRHS&M partnered with Discover the Palm Beaches - the destination marketing organization for Palm Beach County - to become one of 6 official Welcome Centers in the county. The selection of the BRHS&M as a Welcome Center recognizes Downtown Boca as a prime location within the county to capture and welcome visitors.
The new Welcome Center - which is conveniently situated within the museum's gift shop - is excited to welcome visitors, new residents - and even longtime residents alike. While there, visitors can watch promotional videos, find literature and brochures on area attractions, get maps of Downtown Boca and other areas, and plan adventures throughout downtown and the rest of Palm Beach County.
Welcome Center staff field questions daily, on what to do, current events around town, popular places to take the kids, and even canoe rental locations in the area. The stream of visitors has been steady, and doesn't seem to be diminishing with the change of season - a great sign of the Welcome Center's popularity.
Aside from the Welcome Center, the BRHS&M also offers expert knowledge, innovative information, tours and programs that are designed to educate, inspire and offer a look back on the fascinating history of the city of Boca Raton.
Take some time to head over to the BRHS&M - easily spotted by the shiny gold dome of Old Town Hall - and learn a little more about this great destination and beyond.
