Mizner Park Amphitheater
Shakespeare Miami brings Hamlet to Mizner Park Amphitheater for its sophomore performance. This weekend run of free performances tells the story of Hamlet starting in the royal court of Denmark; a place of political maneuvering, spies and deceit, and moves through a tale about ghosts, love, betrayal, revenge and death by the sword.
Featuring a full professional cast of actors, period costumes and original music, this production brings one of Shakespeare’s most powerful and influential tales to life.
“Hamlet is probably the most performed, filed and quoted pieces of literature in the world,” said Colleen Stovall, artistic producing director of Shakespeare Miami. “We love Hamlet as the dramatic crestfallen prince who has just lost his kingdom and are fascinated by his brooding intensity.”
Attendees will have the exclusive opportunity to preview a restaurant, Loch Bar, a classic seafood tavern by The Atlas Group, coming to Mizner Park in the Summer of 2018, each evening starting at 4 p.m. and throughout each performance. Featured items will include oysters on the half shell ($2 per piece); mini crab cakes ($8 each); mini lobster rolls ($9 each); tuna poke ($9); and a variety of specialty cocktails.
