We are proud to have our downtown district be continually recognized for our public spaces, events, livability, mobility, capital projects and more:
- The Florida Redevelopment Association recognized Downtown Boca with a 2020 Roy F. Kenzie Award for its Sanborn Square Community Engagement & Placemaking project (2020)
- The 5th Annual Brazilian Beat Festival (2016) received two Brazilian Press Awards
- Downtown Boca received a FRA Annual Award from the Florida Redevelopment Association for its marketing campaign, Come Early, Stay Late (2016)
- Downtown Boca received not one, but three International Downtown Association Merit Awards for our our marketing campaign Come Early, Stay Late (2016), our 4th Annual Brazilian Beat Festival (2015), and our Pedestrian Promenade and Sanborn Square Arches (2015)
- Movoto called Boca Raton one of the Top Five Best Dressed Small Cities - number two, to be precise (2013)
- The Downtown Pedestrian Promenade and Street Reconstruction project was awarded a National Recognition Award from The American Council of Engineering Companies (2012) and an Award of Merit/Annual Design Awards from the American Society of Landscape Architects Florida Chapter (2012)
- The American Planning Association named Plaza Real in Mizner Park a Top 10 Great Public Spaces in the U.S. (2010)
- The League of American Bicyclists recognized us among just 11 other cities in Florida as one of the great Bicycle Friendly Communities
- The Florida Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects awarded Mizner Park a Medallion Site Award, as one of America's most significant and beloved works of landscape architecture (1999)
